The Kinelectrics project & EMRS for physiotherapists

In the general context of the simplification of the administrative procedures and E-health development in Belgium, in particular within the context of the homologation of "Electronic Medical Record Systems (EMRS)" for general practitioners and other healthcare workers, research will be conducted on the legal aspects and the relevant quality standards for EMRS for physiotherapists. The ultimate goal is replacing the currently used systems with paperless (electronic) ones.

Quality criteria as well as real-life scenarios will be developed to test the different software packages. Through the use of these tests we can examine whether the EMRS for physiotherapists are conform to legal obligations, meet the operational and ergonomic needs of the physiotherapist and comply with the reporting requisites within the sector.

The project runs in cooperation with the Federal Public Service of Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment.
